What it is
Residual dust is fine dust that remains on the floor, walls, trim, or in the air after sanding or surface prep.
Signs
- Dust clouds during or after sanding
- Fine dust settling back onto the floor
- Specks trapped in finish
- Rough texture after the coating dries
How ReCoat handles it
ReCoat uses dust-control procedures, vacuuming, and wipe-downs before stain, sealer, or finish is applied. Clean prep is especially important before any coating step.
Why it matters
Dust is small, but it can make a finished floor look and feel rough. Removing it before coating protects the final appearance.
