Traditional Method
Sanding = producing dust, then trying to capture it
Step 1: Drum sander mechanically grinds the top 1–2mm of wood, producing 30–40 lbs of airborne sawdust for a 1,000 sqft floor.
Step 2: Vacuum containment captures most, industry-reported is 85–90% but depends on containment system.
Step 3: The remaining 10–15% settles on walls, cabinets, HVAC systems, inside cabinets, on light fixtures, etc. You’ll find it for months.
“Dustless” = just means less dust, not completely absent.
